Jackson Family Wines is a wine company headquartered in Santa Rosa, California. At 6 million cases sold per year, it is the ninth-largest wine producer in the United States. At J Wagner Group, we have worked with the Jackson Family Wines team on a number of events and sponsorships through the years.
In 2021, Jackson Family Wines was named the Official Wine of the Kentucky Derby. As we began brainstorming different events that we could produce for Derby Week 2021, we wanted to develop a concept that allowed for a more COVID-friendly atmosphere that would be smaller in size and more intimate. Our team approached the Jackson Family Wines team about creating a “pop-up” restaurant experience on Derby Eve and they loved the idea. From there, we cultivated the concept “Jackson Family Wines Supper Club” that would bring the best parts of Sonoma and Napa Valley to the Derby City.
Our first step was to create a unique brand and logo for the event. Next, our team collaborated with Jackson Family Wines also flew in all of the gourmet food, ingredients and small batch wines for the event from Sonoma County.
Next, our design team was tasked with capturing the essence of Napa and the Jackson Family Wines brand and bringing it to life within the event space. Our team worked closely with Millenium Events, a local event rental company, to hand-select every aspect of the decor from floor to ceiling.
The Event was a huge success and our team was able to completely sell out all tables. The exclusive dinner featured (5) courses and even included a “Sommelier Slam” showcasing small-production, highly-acclaimed fine wines from Jackson Family Wines featuring Master Sommeliers, Thomas Price & Larry O’Brien.
